250g | pasta e.g. penne |
2 | pears (firm, not too juicy) |
1 tsp | chili flakes |
1 tbsp | butter |
1 | carott |
1 tbsp | olive oil |
200ml | milk |
75g | blue cheese e.g. gorgonzola |
to taste | salt, pepper |
1. Cook pasta in salted water until al dente.
2. Peel the pears, cut into quarters and remove the seeds. Melt the butter in a large (lidded) pan, add pears and chili flakes and fry for a few minutes. Close the lid and cook until the pears are tender (around 20min).
3. Peel and finely chop the carrot and saute in oil until tender. Add milk and turn off the heat when it starts to boil.
4. Roughly chop the blue cheese and add it to the sauce; let it melt.
5. Season to taste with salt and pepper and serve over pasta with spicy pears.
